Sabrina Guerra is a nonspeaking autistic sixth grade student in Connecticut. Like many advocates before her, once she achieved the power of communication via a keyboard, using her voice to affect change for her nonspeaking and disabled peers became her life’s ambition. Sabrina has presented on her lived experience and perspective to educators, students, and others through various platforms, including proudly sitting down with United States Senator Chris Murphy for a one-to-one. She is honored to receive this marvelous recognition allied with the legacy of the great Judy Heumann and activist Elijah Armstrong.
